wah wah..doesn’t look easy eh..salute u!!
ZMM : I took it as a challenge. 🙂
i though pudding is like jelly? I am so confused now..But it does look nice..
ZMM : This is not mango pudding or almond pudding. This is Christmas pudding. 🙂 You can see them in the supermarket shelves these days. They are not jelly.
very interesting. i suck at baking n naturally didn’t get it by just looking at pic. it’s boiled instead of baked-huh? and why the hanging up to dry??
it does give a very Christmasy feel.
ZMM : Because it’s boiled, so it needs to be hung up so all the water on the cloth can be dried. A bit like ‘zhong’ 😛
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah .. look so nice lar .. can send some over here ?
ZMM : Haha.. if you stay near by can. If I sent over, will turn mouldy before you get it.
Hey, I saw you in PPS so I have to drop by. 🙂
How are you and your family getting along? I’ve no idea this is the way to make pudding. I thought bake mia.. lol
ZMM : We’re all doing fine. You huh, now never visit me any more.. Haigh.
I thought it was baked too, until I saw the recipe.. 🙂
i tot pudding is supposed to be cold? confused! yummy .. i wanna try some too.
ZMM : I think for Christmas pudding it’s supposed to be eaten warm. In fact, my recipe book said to reheat it before serving. A bit like having a warm brownie.
Wow!!!! Got alcohol in them too? A dash? I spy a few IKEA bits too!! 🙂
ZMM : The fruits and nuts have to be soaked over night in Brandy.. And for those that I stored, I poured a generous amount of Brandy over them too. 😛
Ikea.. Of course.. 🙂
wow! interesting!can share the recipe?
ZMM : I’ll post later.
eh…is that nappy cloth?!!! lol!!
ZMM : Spot on!
Yerrr!! You use Zaria’s diapers to wrap ah? No wonder lah…kar liew.
ZMM : For you I kar liew la.. Those are super clean one lar.
WAHHHHH…*drool drool*
hey post up the recipe, wanna try too!
ZMM : Later, k?
It looks YUMMY….and a lot of work too..What kind of pudding is it this?
ZMM : You didn’t read the header? Christmas Pudding! 😛
Like a lot of work..you might as well send some over to me..lol!
ZMM : By the time it reaches you, maybe ‘fatt mou’ already. 😛
Yeah, I see you used the nappies to tie it up! Haha, got extra flavour eh? 🙂 BTW, aren’t you supposed to eat it with some sauce?
ZMM : Yeah.. supposed to eat it with brandy custard, but I didn’t bother to make. Just eat plain.. still yummy.
wowawowa…. i want!! you so hardworking la you. hubby request saja.. you make. eh, i saw the cloth you use is napkin ah… can share recipe pls… hehe…
ZMM : Sure, later. Actually, I just want to try out also.. I de-stress in the kitchen one ler.
can i have the recipe??? it looks yummy .. wanna give it a try 🙂
ZMM : K. later.
like some, i also thot puding is like jelly…..???!!!
first time seeing this way of doing…..esp d wrapping & boiling steps..a bit like d chinese rice dumpling….maybe this is ang moh type??? but with napkin…..ergghhh???
ZMM : The jelly pudding is I think the Chinese pudding. 😛
Napkin washed liao ma.. no more germs. And my girls, didn’t use this time of lampin la.
Wow…alot of work involved huh? ya why pudding is not soft and cold? i wish i’m your neighbour! 🙂
ZMM : Christmas pudding is different. 🙂 Served warm with some custard.. sedap.. but I lazy to make the custard la.
Seems yummy…Homemade cookies are normally much more better than the shops.. How I wish I could bake…Nyway, cute little gurlz u’ve got there…
ZMM : Thanks. 🙂
Yum, yum! Looks delicious.. very hardworking lah u 🙂
First time I am seeing this! So this is called the Christmas Pudding eh? Or does it have a more specific name?
ZMM : It’s Christmas Pudding. You can search on the web, and it shows you something similar. But of course, mine is not as ‘presentable’.
you use clothes diaper to wrap the pudding ah?!
The pudding looks delicious.
ZMM : Haha.. yah.. cloth diaper. But clean one.. don’t worry.
wow .. look yummy .. can send some to me during christmas .. hehehehe .. joke joke.. but look very susah to make lei .. U’re good!!
ZMM : Quite a lot of work, but not too difficult.
you use baby napkin to wrap it? i think i recognize the pattern of the kain. 🙂
ZMM : 😛
hey first time see this kind of pudding! wow look tough to me!
ZMM : No la. Not too tough. Best thing is you can do this even you don’t have oven.
Wow that looked soooo yummy….
My mum makes christmas fruit cake and give them away to friends each year. They are great because there’s plenty of BRANDY in it… heheheh
ZMM : Aaa.. Fruit cake.. I want to try to bake one too.. and maybe I’ll do that for CNY as ‘presents’ when visiting relatives. 🙂
wow..looks great!
wah didn’t know it has to be boiled liddis! i too thot it’s baked…so suatu lor me…but me no like mixed fruit thingys…hey i have loads of unused nappy cloth, u still need anymore??? but but….think of using nappy cloth oso geli lor…hahahhaa
ZMM : The baked one is fruit cake, this is pudding.. And not geli.. all disinfect liao before using. 😛
you very kan-lek, hor? good for ya! I was too spoilt for choices at the stores here. not too big a fan of puddings so I just bought a couple of small ones to try out, and might as well… ’tis Christmas after all 🙂
Cute huh…that you tie them up into a bundle. Very interesting! I wish I can bake too. (okay, that wasn’t true. ) I’ll buy!
interesting christmas pudding. i see the butter oil all floating in the pot of water. when you said taste like dumpling (chung), so it is sweet and salty at the same time?
got extra…looks yummy
Is that diaper cloth? No wonder it taste delicious…just kidding. You are really a good chef!
I like this…
