{"id":52,"date":"2005-09-16T18:47:00","date_gmt":"2005-09-16T18:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mytwogirls.net\/?p=52"},"modified":"2005-09-16T18:47:00","modified_gmt":"2005-09-16T18:47:00","slug":"an-addicts-wound","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mytwogirls.net\/?p=52","title":{"rendered":"An Addict&#8217;s Wound"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1441\/1350\/1600\/wound1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" width=\"180\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1441\/1350\/200\/wound1.jpg\" height=\"173\" style=\"float:left;cursor:hand;margin:0 10px 10px 0;\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1441\/1350\/1600\/wound.jpg\"><\/a>A drug addict does not mind inflicting wounds to himself so that he can have his fix.<\/p>\n<p>My little girl does not mind the wounds she inflicted herself so that she can have her thumbsucking fix.<\/p>\n<p>I was appalled to see that she had been sucking and biting her thumb so hard that there&#8217;s actually 2 cuts on the outside of her thumb, and the worse thing is she&#8217;s oblivious to this.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s a thumbsucker, and her thumb provides her with comfort every time she&#8217;s sleepy, bored, hungry, upset so it&#8217;s not going to be an easy habbit to change.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll see if I can change her to a pacifier, and offer her the breast every time she needs to comfort herself.
