Today is Zara’s 1st Birthday! It has been such a pleasure having her around, and sometimes still seem a bit surreal when we look at her (after what we’d been through<\/a>). Our daughter, our very own flesh and blood.<\/p>\n Although her birthday celebration<\/a> didn’t really go that well for her, she’s still her normal self despite her tummy upset. When she gets better, we’d bring her out toy shopping (with her angpow money) and a good meal.<\/p>\n Here are her photos, and her mile stones month by month.<\/p>\n 1st month<\/u><\/p>\n 2nd month<\/u> 3rd month<\/u> 4th month I went back to work (I took 3 months off). This same month, we moved to our new house in Shah Alam and she started having to be sent daily to King’s Wife’s place together with my maid.<\/span> 5th month<\/u> – laughed 6th month<\/u> – had her first taste of solid 7th month<\/u> 8th month<\/u> 9th month<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n – sat herself up 10th month<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n – spoke her first word<\/a> 11th month<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n – climbed down furniture<\/a> on her own 12th month<\/u><\/p>\n Weight : 7.79Kg (before she got her food poisoning, quite likely lighter now)
Since I didn’t have a confinement lady<\/a>, I took care of her all by myself (no MIL or mum to help).<\/span>
\n– Turned her head from left to right when she’s laid on her tummy (about 4th week).
\n– Smiled for the first time.<\/p>\n
\n
\n– Could lift her head up while being carried, as well as while she’s put lying on her stomach.
\n– Stopped waking up for night feeds when she was 6 week old (aleluia!).
\n– Kicked at her baby gym
\n– Put her fist in her mouth to suck<\/p>\n
\n– cooed
\n– Sucked her thumb and upper lip (if we kept her thumb away from her)
\n– held things when placed in her hands
\n– clasped her hands<\/p>\n

\n– turned from lying to her back to her front
\n– used her hands to play with her baby gym<\/p>\n
\n
<\/p>\n
\n– crawled (tummy on the floor)
\n– Passed item from one hand to another
\n– With her tongue between her lips, made the sound PBBBBTTTT
\n– Sucked on her toes
\n– Smacked her lips
\n– When we wanted to lift her up, she reached her hands out to us<\/p>\n
\n

\n– sat unsupported
\n– turned her wrist<\/p>\n
\n– sat unsupported
\n– clapped her hands
\n– waved bye bye
\n– swam in a pool (with float of course)<\/p>\n
This was when I started her blog<\/a>.
\n<\/span>– cut her first tooth (in fact, 4 came out just about the same time)
\n– gave her first kiss, to a baby photo in a book
\n– stood while being supported (by holding on to something)
\n– cruised
\n– rubbed her eyes when she’s tired<\/p>\n

\n– pulled herself <\/a>to standing position by holding on to a piece of furniture
\n-improved pincer grip<\/p>\n

\n– took her first step<\/a><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\n– stood unsupported<\/p>\n

\nHeight : 75cm
\n<\/span>– cut 2 more teeth, and another one is peeking out from the gums
\n– spoke her first 3-syllable word<\/a>
\n– said her name when she’s asked “What is your name?”<\/p>\n
