My Italian junk car just went dead on a busy road on my way to pick Zara up from school.
Car zoomed me by, drivers glared at me for slowing them down, but nobody offered to help!
And 2 of our traffic police stopped by and asked me what happened, instructed me to lift up my boot up to notify cars zooming by my situation, so that I don’t get rammed. And they too didn’t offer to help push my car to the side!
In the end, it was Axa that came to the rescue. I called their hot line, and they sent a tow truck to tow my car away. All free! (next time when you buy car insurance, make sure the company you buy from offer such services at no additional cost)
Daddy too rushed from the office to pick Zara up (her school was quite good, changed her and fed her lunch while she waited for us) and then home to check on the car, he declared my battery has totally gone flat. !#$%!#!
Sigh!
Zaria had recurring fever since Christmas. Her fever always fell on holidays, and got well after the holidays so she’d only been checked out by GPs. Yesterday, on her 4th fever, we brought her to see a paed.
It seemed, she had middle ear infection, and so had to be put on antibiotic. Sigh!
Baaah!
Zara’s school has a post Chinese New Year celebration today, and they had placed the notice in Zara’s bag. Neither Daddy nor me checked her bag ever the last few days.
Today when she went to school, all her friends were in their Chinese New Year’s best and our girl was wearing her uniform!! What kind of parents are we for not being more interested in the girl’s school work bag. Baaah!
Oops, must be the breakdown contagion settling in all the way from Italy! HUGS!!!

sometimes funny things do happen. for years, me and hub subscribed to AAM and nothing happen. this year we decided we don’t need it and save us some $$ but so unfortunately, both of us involved in car accidents beginning of the year. how to explain??!
about forgetting to check on zara school bag, we experienced that ONCE too but since then, we are VERY INTO his school bag:P..so don’t worry, it will only happen once.

and for zara’s case….i’m sure u suffered from guiltyness…as much as i had before….i too had several times missed some impt message left in their bags!!

wah u must have left ur lights on or the door not closed properly at times, happened to me before…yeah it sucks big time when we find out how “courteous”, “friendly” and “helpful” the people around us are…thank goodness for the right insurance provider! but I’m more kiasu.. I sign up with AAM too!

ai yo…it happened to me too on my birthday 2 years ago….my car went dead in the middle of the bloody motorola highway in the afternoon! ARGH! and like you, no one paused to help. Just glared and the occasionally snicker. (Yes Malaysia boleh…NOT)
Hahaha… I know what you mean about checking the bags part to find for notes. The teachers now have given each of the kids a big a4 sized notebook and pastes all notes in that book. So luckily i didnt miss the CNY celebration at her school! Phew!

so u also have an italian junk eh.. π …was going to add ‘salt’ further till i read it was battery problems. ok-la, not so bad then. hubby refuses to sell his italian junk that has failed on me so many times, not just battery but other mechanical/engine problems. luckily it didnt fail on me when d gal was in it as tht wld be the last straw.

Once I checked Tim’s bag, he was loaded with homework. Now the teacher gave me a notice, asking us parents to check the bag everyday.
seems like u went through a bad day. don’t worry, the next day will always be better after a bad day π
I know what you mean about the bag. Many times, it’s the maid who shows the notice to me. And I’ve read notices from the school and also completely forgot about them.
this post is funnnny…. how we take for granted like life tht others have to give away so we can a variety in our diet! well done vege Zara!
I can consider vy lucky when my car just make it to my office lobby when I discovered the temp is rising like no tomolo… called MAA for help & quite glad they charge RM80 to tow my car back to workshop near my place).
