The Adventurer
We have a visitor Last Saturday.
Jelly cruelly pulled out its hind legs, and clipped its wings, and put it
on Zaria’s hands.
While Zara made the “EEEW” sound and stayed far away; Zaria totally had no fear.
She let the grasshopper climb on her.
She checked out the grasshopper.
Patted it.
Even almost kissed it…..
but we stopped her.
While Zara kept her distant (but curious none the less), Zaria helped to bring the grasshopper close to Zara.
Occasionally, when the grasshopper caused some discomfort while moving on her arms, she peeled it off, and said, “Pain Pain.”
But when we took it away from her, she went and reached out for it again.
And started the whole process of examining it.
(Jelly coming from a farm, said that the hind legs are the ones that grasshoppers use to saw up leaves as well as propel themselves while jumping. They always remove it before ‘playing’ it with, so that it’ll not hurt whoever is handling it, nor escape from the captor by jumping away)
wow, zaria is more brave than i am! nothing scares her eh.
Zaria is such a brave girl. I think Shay will probably says ‘scared-scared’.

Wow, now I wish to know which camera you are using. Very nice pics.
Very brave. I am scared myself!
I dont know if it’s our area or what, but I also have 2 grasshoppers living in my Cana bush, so all my green leaves have been “sawed” by them.. I al really quite scared of them – so I used the hose to spray them away. *They still come back the next day*
Little Zaria is brave and smart, she examine the grasshopper? If me run off already,LOL..

Oh my God – Jelly is so cruel!
Ugh, I hope this doesn’t start a trend of plucking off grasshoppers’ hind legs and wings for children’s education…
FYI, this totally goes against the “No Animal Testing” label on organic beauty products.
For the record, Zaria is one BRAVE little girl 🙂
