I started wearing glasses when i was 10y.o although im not suffering from any of those mentioned above but still. prima facie, spectacle wearer is facing the same situation, we cant see clearly. I was taunted too in fact during my first day wearing those harry potter glasses (well you know how glasses looked like 14years ago) but some thought it was cool to wear one. haha. kids. Dont be discourage Zaramama. Which parent wants their child to go through all this but take comfort that despite all this, Zara will be just fine and as myself and the rest πŸ™‚ I dont see this whole thing as a problem or curse but as a blessing. God Bless!

Was told to wear glasses when watching TV and the blackboard at school only – couldn’t do anything since it was an inborn and inherited condition. Made his eye glasses at Sydney Optical at SS2 and he is fine with it although he was a bit apprehensive about wearing glasses. The power for the glasses should be generally lower than what has been prescribed for the comfort of the child’s eye according to the optician who made his glasses. Sad isn’t it – many children as young as 4 or 6 are now wearing glasses.

as long as zara wears glasses, half frame is also good…

My doc told me that Emily has to wear the glasses all the time. It will correct her lazy eye. If not, it will get worse.

He wears the glasses all the time, otherwise, like you said, the other eye will get lazy. His power has gone up since the last six months πŸ™

On the other hand, there may be a chance to get better.. since the power for my other son has reduced close to non. But opto advise that if he doesn’t wear the glass when reading, his power may come back due to the stress. So, we let him wear the glass.. which sometimes he forgets to wear since he doesn’t actually need it.

I was also worried whether it was something we exposed them too.. but it’s not really like that.

I read from other blogger before that her son also have “lazy eye”. There is another treatment called patching treatment, not sure you heard it before or not. Here is the link to the blogger if you have not read before.
